Most of my more recent UI work has been designing and programming web site interfaces. I think of the web and its languages as just another medium for the user experience, with its own set of unique advantages and limitations.
This web site itself is an example of my design, programming and site content work. Every piece of everything you see here was designed and built by me. This is also true of the web sites listed below, all of which are still alive and kicking ... a rarity of its own in this age of easy-come-easy-go web presences.
Thin Air Software Company
Thin Air Software Company is a business that I founded when I moved to Crested Butte, and ran from 1997-2005. The company's strategy was based around building content-managed, database-driven web sites using a suite of powerful and re-useable software components to provide advanced web site features at a reasonable cost.
Thin Air was a test of whether I could be a "total product creator", and handle the entire software development process from concept to design to completed product all on my own. I think it was a successful experiment. The only downside is that it took 3 people to replace me when I sold the company. All of Thin Air's software technologies were conceived, architected, and programmed from scratch by me using ColdFusion, DHTML, T-SQL, JavaScript and HTML/CSS. All of Thin Air's client web sites through mid-2005 were also designed and programmed by me.
